Camp Hilltop Horse Program

Horses are an integral part of Hilltop’s daily program. Campers interact with horses during cabin activities, intensives and every other day during Free Activity. The regular horse program includes ring and trail riding for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders as well as horse care, horse games and stable management..

In addition to the normal horse program, Hilltop offers two optional (additional fee applies) instructional opportunities: Horse Clinics and Horse Lessons. These are very popular programs for campers who have a great love of horses.

Optional Horse Program

Horse Clinics
Clinics consist of three lessons (Monday, Wednesday and Friday during Free Activity) working on both horse disciplines of Equitation and Jumping. Clinics are a group lesson and are limited to six campers maximum.

Horse Lessons
Lessons are sold on an individual basis. Lessons are semi-private and are limited to a maximum of two campers. Each Camper will be able to choose what discipline they would like to focus on during the lesson; English, Western, Dressage, Jumping, Horsemanship or Showmanship. Lessons are scheduled during a cabin activity time slot.
